Where your work lives, what the agent may touch, and how you follow along.
Workspace
Chats, local files and development tools share one window.
Open an existing project folder, or start a chat with no project at all and JacCode creates a workspace for it.
Chats keep a saved history you can search, rename, archive and restore, and drafts stick around. Chats can be linked to a project, and a local queue supports follow-up work.
Access modes
You decide how far the agent may go in your project.
Visibility
You see the work as well as the answer.
- Activity timeline. Every step, tool calls included, in the order it happened.
- Change review. Review changes in context and view the source. Per-file undo works when there's a suitable checkpoint.
- Command profiles. Explicit start, build and test command profiles for your project.
- Streaming replies. Answers appear as they're written. The model's private reasoning stays hidden.
- A real stop button. While a task runs, Send turns into Stop.
Agent work
It reads and explains code, searches it, creates and edits files, runs commands, tracks down errors, and writes and runs tests.
When a task splits into independent parts, JacCode can hand them to subagents. They draw on the same usage allowance as the main chat, so there's no second meter running.

Install and updates
One Windows installer, then updates take care of themselves.
The EXE sets up shortcuts and an optional jac command for starting JacCode from a terminal, and you can switch launch at sign-in on or off.
Updates install automatically, and each one is signed and hash-verified. Your chats, projects, settings, attachments and sign-in all survive an update.

Account and themes
You register with an email and password inside the app. Your password isn't stored on your PC; revocable session credentials, protected by Windows, keep you signed in.
Pick Ember, Charcoal or Warm paper, or let the app follow Windows. There's a tutorial you can replay, backup tools, and support reports that only go out if you opt in.
